We were always excited to help with addressing the important issues and causes the show deals with, and providing deserving families with the things they need most. Whether it was bean bag chairs for kids with special needs, or a relaxation room filled with bean bag chairs for adults, we were always happy to lend a helping hand.

On episode 4, the extreme team headed to Crawford, New York to surprise the Korpai family. After giving birth to Hailey, who was born with dwarfism, Jimmy and Darlene Korpai began advocating for their little girl. They serve as President and Vice President of the New York chapter of Little People of America. Beyond the amazing home, The extreme team also built a community center that caters to both Average People and Little Peoples’ needs. Hugs Bean Bags provided an array of bean bags from all of our different models to provide comfortable lounging for all the center’s visitors.

On Episode 6, The extreme team helped build a home for the Mchpails, a family of two children with autism. C.J. and Lindsay McPhail started the Southern Oregon Chapter of Sparrow Clubs, a non-profit organization which helps children with medical issues by pairing them with a school that adopts them as their Sparrow. C.J. and Lindsay never imagined that they would one day need their own organization. Soon after moving to Portland, their oldest son, Sawyer, was diagnosed with a form of autism and their second oldest son, Thatcher, began to show signs of autism as well. Sawyer became a Sparrow, and through his endearing personality, he helped put a face on autism and brought awareness to over 900 students in his adopted school. Hugs Bean Bags created a custom-made Circular Furry bean bag chsir to fit into a sensory room built to help stimulate the children’s senses and improve their sensory skills.

We hope to see the Extreme Makeover Legacy continue, perhaps in a different form, be it on a different network, or maybe even online. To see the community brought together in such a beautiful fashion every sunday night will be missed, by all of us.

Tis the season for new things so we at Hugs Bean Bags decided to redesign our website, make new colors for our In&Out Hugs, and shoot a new demonstration video ( check it out on the In&Out Hugs page) to show all the wonderful things they can do.

The New website was born today! We went for a more simple and clean look to really let the bean bag chairs speak for themselves. Not that we didn’t like the psychedelic elements of our previous website but a change was definitely due.

Our new colors came a long after months of hearing customer’s feedback regarding the colors they would like to see for our bean bags. So now we have seven colors available for our in and Out hugs and the party is just getting started. We will soon be introducing a new line of bean bags and also some amazingly comfy accessories to go along. The new bean bag chair prototype testing is on it’s way as dozens of people from all walk of life, site down and relax on them, lifting up their scoreboards. So far all has been going well. We can tell by the multiple times people have been passing-out on the bean bags and refusing to get up and give other people a shot. We are trying everything from New shapes, to new fabrics, to new fillings, All part of our Comfort revolution.

What happens when you have too much time, sun, beer, and bean bag chairs to your disposal?  Stop motion magic, that’s right. Hugs Master Tyrone, AKA Mcmoose suggested making a stop motion bean bag video. We started thinking of an intricate plot, a location to film, and everything else. After a couple of beers we tossed out all previous ideas, planning, and precautions and decided to improvise. Ten minutes later we were already editing this amazing bean bag chair video. Soundtrack to this wonderful bean bag wizardry is by Soulwax, one of our favorite DJ’s/Live bands, check them out when you get a minute. So all and all it turned out to be one of the greatest ideas in modern times, who knew… No other bean bag or bean bag chair can pull of the stunts shown in this video and we’re just getting started.

Next week we plan on renting a unicorn for the day to see how it feels to be carried in the air on the back of a Unicorn strapped up with a bean bag. The MLB Fan Cave (@MLBFanCave on Twitter), a first-of-its-kind immersive fan experience which takes place in a vibrant location in New York City's Greenwich Village that hosts the winners of the MLB Dream Job, who were chosen from a pool of nearly 10,000 applicants.

The winner of the MLB Dream Job, Mike O'Hara, is currently inhabiting the Fan Cave every day for the entire 2011 MLB season along with his Wingman, Ryan Wagner, where they are set to watch all 2,430 regular season games plus every Postseason game while chronicling their experiences and sharing their viewpoints on baseball. And of course, chilling on some Comfy Bean Bags.

Hugs Bean Bags were chosen as the official MLB Fan Cave bean bag, by the extreme makeover design team, Headed by Paul Dimeo. We're extremely proud and excited to be a part of Baseball history, and such a unique and innovative project

The MLB Fan Cave, located at the corner of 4th and Broadway in Manhattan, features interactive fan activities; hosts regular visits from MLB players, baseball personalities and celebrities. The Fan Cave venue also hosts parties and musical performances, as well as other events throughout the baseball season. With 32 14-foot windows surrounding the space, fans on the street will be able to watch O'Hara and Wagner's every move as well as all of the events at the MLB Fan Cave. Fans will also be able to experience the MLB Fan Cave during regularly scheduled events which are open to the public.  So grab yourself a seat on of our comfy bean bags set up for your enjoyment.
